Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

My sister, Jerre, made arrangements for a 3-bedroom condo on the beach in Puerto Vallarta. She was coming down from the US with three friends and had room for one more. I took the bus from Manzanillo and got there Monday afternoon. Here's the view from one of the condo balconies.

Monday evening was spent hanging out and recuperating from the curvy final hour or so of the bus ride. On Tuesday, Patricia came up. She has friends in PV so she had plenty of people to see beside us.

We take a look around PV, but first -- some pelicans.

We took the walk on the Malecon, looking over the sculptures and the gorgeous views. Featuring the first of dueling cameras.

Patricia on the bridge over the little stream that flows into the ocean. And then both of us.

We took the little tour of the Navy museum.

and by a statue of a Navy pilot.

We stopped for a burger at a little place that had a sign that said, "We dare you to come in here". Great burger for me, the others had more Mexican fare and everyone was happy. Here's an ocean view from inside.

Here's Jerre winding up for dueling cameras. That's Keith and Marilyn in the background.

and Jerre checking to see if I'm still ticklish.

Some artwork for sale on the Malecon with the cathedral in the background.

And inside the cathedral. A truly beautiful place.

We jump into a little upstairs bar to wet our whistles.

Patricia and I were walking around "old town" and came upon a hat shop.

Patricia: "You should get a Puerto Vallarta hat."

Me: "I already have a hat."

Me: "Here's one that makes me look just like Justin Timberlake."

Patricia: "Ooooooh!"

Next thing I know, I'm buying a hat.

Back to the condo just in time to see the parasailers come in for a landing.

We all met up again for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. Here's the crowd, ready for a big meal.

Jerre was the only one brave enough to take the dancer's challenge.

And the sunset at the end of each day.

And since you made it all the way to the end of the tour, here's a little movie.
